“Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power”

Ephesians 6:10

After hours of deep counsel on heavy matters, apostle Paul takes a deep breathe looks at me and says, I know I have said a lot already, and I have given you much to meditate on, but there is one more thing, and its possibly the most important of all that I have said; you must be strong in the Lord, and in His mighty power.

Life is beautiful, but can also be very ugly. Life is filled with joyous moments, but can also be creased with debilitating sadness. Life is filled with exhilarating highs, but also depressing lows. Whatever chapter or season you find yourself wedged in, be strong in the Lord, and in His mighty power.

It is easier to navigate hopeless, trying and difficult seasons, when tucked in the reality of God’s love, and in the eternal truths he has spoken about you. Like Noah in the ark that protected him from a flood that engulfed others, you are in God, armoured with divine weapons for the tearing down of lies, evil, and strongholds (anything that contradicts God’s word) |2 Corinthians 10:4|.

Now this is all honky-dory, but practically speaking, what does Ephesians 6:10 look like? I sat in this question, and these words poured out of me — lean in, press in, depend on, rely on, trust in, stand on, stand under, ask for, embrace, connect, surrender and speak. There is really nothing innovative here, just a simple reminder of snap (close up) shots to a wider picture.

I believe that Ephesians 6:10 is Paul’s way of provoking us into action. To take bold steps surrendering to God, not circumstances. To preach the gospel (good news) to not just others, but ourselves also. To connect to God, the source of life in a real way, and unapologetically speak life into our lives. To embrace help when it shows up, because God can use anybody. To live, move and have our being in God |Acts 17:28|.

I do not know what season of life you are in currently, but I speak life over you today, declaring that you are strong in the Lord, and in His mighty power. You are held by God, and empowered by His Spirit for this season. No matter what it is, the end of the matter for you is good. You are victorious, and your testimony will be heard throughout the earth, bringing glory to God.

Can I get an amen?????

Happy monyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
