The Valiant Truth

I had a dream last night. The details aggregated to me failing at something. I think it was a technical test of some sort. I watched others celebrate excelling. Then there was me.

I woke up with a feeling of heaviness. It’s only the 12th day of the first month of a new year and the enemy is already being crafty. That’s expected though, we’ve been warned— he prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. So, we are cautioned to be alert and of a sober mind.

Praise God for His word.

I went on my knees and prayed- Lord, you have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Then I heard myself saying, it is no coincidence that one of the gifts you give is love, because when I abide in your love, you abide in me, giving your Spirit free reign to fill me with your power and transform my mind. Thank you, Father, for your love.

A few minutes later, I open my journal and at the top of the page are these words, away with your fears Michelle, written about a week ago, sat crownlike above my words for the year.

It struck me once again how intentional and consistent the Holy Spirit is. He will only always guide us into all truth.

Love is the genesis of redemption, and this is a reminder that Abba loves you. His love drives His desire for you to be equipped with His word. When you are armed and loaded, and the enemy tries to invade your space, you have the ammunition to stop him in his tracks as you valiantly cut off his tongue with the sword of God’s word.

We overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. Do not take it- His word, lightly. Imprinted in your heart, you win. Pray His word over yourself (and household) and rejoice in the salvation He brings.

Contrary to the lies, you are neither helpless nor hopeless.

Guard your gate like a soldier would his turf.

Xo, Mel.
